What has been your most memorable dance experience?
When dancing at my last competition performing “Up to the Mountain,” the music cut off and we continued to connect with breath.

What have you learned so far in going through the audition process for this show?
Not to let my mind limit what is possible for me to do. Be more open to everything.

I have taken class from a few of the choreographers (Doug Caldwell, Stacey Tookey), but never worked one-on-one with them.

I am excited to pull Broadway from the hat. I have less experience with ballroom.

I would love to learn Jive.

Which So You Think You Can Dance alumni do you look up to and why?
Jaimie Goodwin – incredible story, phenomenal technique. Chelsea Traille – so humble, down to earth, hard worker.

What do you hope to gain from this experience?
Many relationships, a better understanding of new dance styles, knowing that I gave every part of myself to this competition (mentally/physically)

What does making it to the Top 20 mean to you?
It is a blessing! It means there is a lot of hard work ahead. Can’t wait to dive deeper with everyone!

What would you like America to know about you?
I want to do things on the show and in my future that are bigger than I am; things that I know I cannot do alone so that I cannot take credit for them.

I started dance when I was 3 years old at The Dance Connection, which was a studio owned by my mom. Not too long after she closed her studio to attend college for nursing, I began dancing at Augusta West Dance Studio which was the studio my mom also grew up at. I quit when I was 10, after a year with no dance I decided I couldn't live without it. I resumed my training at the same studio. My sophomore year of high school I began to take my dancing more seriously, on top of performing/competing with my "home" studio, I began attending a separate school for ballet training. After high school, at the age of 18, I moved straight to Los Angeles to begin more training and auditioning. I recently worked on a small part in the remake of Fame and I'm now honored to say that I am a part of SYTYCD Season 6. This is only the beginning of my journey and I can't wait to see what is in store for me on this show and in the future.
